I feel extremely blessed when people share their prayers and writings with me at the prison. One incarcerated lady asked if she was able to do a sermon one Sunday, as she's hoping to pursue Youth Ministry when she leaves. She nailed it! It was an inspiring sermon for all... and I'm not just being biased. I shared it with another Pastor friend and he said, "Oh man, this is great. She does a great job balancing grace-filled actions."
Attached is the handout we created with the scriptures she referenced, and then there is a pdf of her written sermon. Thank you to J.I. and all who continue to inspire me and support me as I have been called:
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me
To bring good news to the humble and afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives
And freedom to prisoners"
